Project of a new and improved Kitchen Department of IKEA Delft.

The main task was to create a better overview and a clear understanding of how to buy a kitchen. And next to that, a new planning area so the customer can plan their dream kitchen in a comfortable and inviting environment.

The winter season is approaching, a time of cozy homes, good food and getting together with family and friends.

Whether its having extra family members over for dinner, enjoying a glass of warm glug or
sleeping in the spare room at a guests house,#wintersurvival understands the alternative and reality of winter.

Based on the idea of still life art of Rembrandt the store theme focuses on elements
for your winter survival.

Various project for IKEA Delft. Such as the winter store theme in 2016, and Summer store theme 2014.

We have such a passion for handmade products especially those lovingly made for children, so many beautiful products come from this tiny country in which I live, each with their own unique little story to tell.

Take these two (rather cute) princesses, who live in their imaginary palace made from blankets and cushions in the most beautiful colours from dutch label Soetwaer which are my absolute favourite. Taking inspiration from nature all of their textiles are individually screen printed by hand on high quality organic cotton, resulting in wonderfully unique products with an artisan feel.

The handmade crowns and bow-ties are made by Suussies like their funny friend named Leo, who has the longest arms and legs you can imagine. Suussies  hand make super cute cuddly animals, toys, soft play cameras and interior accessories for all ages using original fabrics and trimmings, I love that every item is slightly different and therefore unique. Her inspiration comes from just about everywhere which results in a surprising and original collection – a perfect edition to your child’s room.

We have lots of wonderful childhood memories of creating little houses for our small furry friends, so when I recently discovered Dutch illustrator Anja Mulder the kids and I thought of a crafty project to do together.

It’s all about the details. With our love of paper, matchboxes and leaves, a little imagination and the children’s creativity, nature and her colours seemed to bring Anja’s beautiful animal images to life!
